Old favourites.

Ride 54

Ledgeview.

1:41 (up), Paper Route (up), Paper Route, Spin Cycle, Speedway, LeBiteMe

I decided to ride up the north side of Ledgeview today and hit some trails I haven't rode in a loooong time. There was a time when all I rode was the north side and things have changed a bit. There are new off-shoot trails every where that even confuse a local. All and all the trails were riding really nice. The dirt up there has dried out and was quite grippy. A fun little ride.

Ass....handed.

Ride 53

The Woodlot

B-Line, Manditory Caution, Giant Killer, Hoots, Shotgun.

The Woodlot and I don't always get along. Everything there is just a little bit bigger, a little bit tighter, a little bit rootier, a little bit rockier. Its just not what I'm used to. I chicken out on stuff that id half the size of the things I hit at Vedder....oh well. Rode today with Jeffy and his friends Fletcher and Craig. On the plus side, they hit everything and I got some good pictures.

Finally today's!

Ride 52

Vedder Mtn.

The Den, 2 cents, Skidder/Hidden Pleasures, Terd Ferg, Ditch Chicken, Electric Lettuce, Femur.

Rode up with Matt Scott, Scott Simpson, Mike Levy, Arthur Gaillot, Monika Marx and Chris Johnston.

Anyway it was a bitch of a climb today. I hadn't switched over my 24 tooth for my 22 and the 32 tooth cog out back was killing me. The ride down was rad and I got loose quite a bit. Trying to keep up with Levy will do that.

Now I am tired and my knees ache. Its time to head back to work to rest up.

Trying to catch up.

Ride 51

Vedder Mtn.

2 cents, Skidder/Hidden, Terd Ferg, Dilemma.

Pedaled up and rode the race course with Tom and Dan. It was really warm out today, about 21 C. I had trouble with the climb and need to switch to a 22 tooth granny.

Falling behind once again.

Ride 50

Ledgeview

Ambidextrous, Lazy Boy, Tools of the Trade, Upper Butt, Xcellerator, Boulderdash, Autobahn.

Went for a "hybrid" ride with Ian up on the Ledge. I haven't rode Xcell in a long time and Ian was a virgin so we decided to give it a shot. We had to turn our lights on about 10 mins into Xcellerator. Started pedaling up at 7:30pm and we were back at the vehicles by about 9:45. A good ride and Ian was happy.

13 mins 29 secs

Ride 49

Vedder Mtn

The Den, 2 cents x2, Skidder/Hidden Pleasures, Terd Ferg, Dilemma, Ditch Chicken, Electric Lettuce, Femur.

Court shuttled me today and I took a timed run of the complete race course. 13 mins and 29 secs. I probably lost sec second or two by having to start and stop my watch. Looking back I could have pushed a little harder on the road and maintained my pace a little better on the mid section of Dilemma. There was a crew of Forestry workers doing some trail work on the road bypass on the end of Terd Furg. I wanted to get a picture of them on my second lap, but alas, they had moved on. Second lap I rode The Den to Femur, my favourite line on Vedder.

Ride 48

Vedder Mtn

The Den x1, 2 Cents x3, Skidder/Hidden Pleasures x3, Turd Ferg x3, Dilemma x2, Ditch Chicken x1, Electric Lettuce, Femur

Took Morgan and Jodi on a pre race ride/Tour guide trip of VEdder today. It had been raining for the past several days and the clouds parted for us in the after noon. The trails were wet, we got muddy. 3 laps on the mountain and we were beat.

Vedder Hero Dirt

Ride 47

Vedder

The Den, 2 Cents, Skidder/Hidden, Terd Ferguson, Ditch Chicken, Electric lettuce, Femur

Great day on the hill. I was feeling like total garbage after two night shifts were I on;y got about 3.5 hrs sleep after each. After lazing on the couch for a while I convinced Courtney that it was her wifely duty to do a shuttle run today. Luckily for me she agreed. So we packed up and headed over to Vedder. With some time constraints I was planning on riding down from 2 cents, but Ricky Federau had posted up a picture from Easter weekend that showed The Den being nearly clear of snow. So I decided to give it a shot. The trail turned out to be completely clear and just a flowy fast as ever. Everything was running great and the traction was unreal. These are the days I look forward to all winter. Soon enough everything will be dried out and Vedder and Sumas will be covered in marbles, changing the game again. Snapped a quick pic of my driver before she headed down.

A groggy ride.

Ride 46

Sumas

Emma Peel, CYOA, Police Line

A quick lap on the hardtail before heading in for my last night shift. It turned out to be quite a nice day. Trails were wet in a few spots from the previous days rain, but all in all good shape.
